The church permits cremation and allows the cremated remains of the body to be present for the full course of the funeral rites, including the Vigil for the deceased, the Funeral Liturgy, and the Rite of the Committal.  Ideally, cremation should take place after the Funeral Liturgy.

Niches in our columbarium may be reserved by contacting the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Office at (970) 242-6121.

Each metal niche has a protective granite plate on the front.  Engraved on it are the appropriate name and dates of birth and death.

The purchaser receives a Certifcate of Ownership which indcates the choice of niche.  This certificate entitles a person to inurnment and assurance of perpetual care.  Each niche, costing $1,600 will hold the cremated remains of one individual.
